First used tire processing plant in Russia with cryogenic fine grinding

Together with our Saxon client, we have implemented a demanding consulting contract.

The order involved the search for a joint partner with a suitable area and subsequent assignment as well as all the necessary permits for the new plant in Russia.

Profile of the project

Process description of used tire processing with cryogenic fine grinding

The system is used to shred used truck and car tires in a ratio of
80% to 20%. Highly cleaned rubber granules are produced in 4 fractions. The fractions produced have a grain size of 0 to 0.2 mm, 0 to 0.8 mm, 0.8 to 2.5 mm and 2.5 to 4 mm. Secondary products are steel wire and PA fabric.

The line is designed for 4-shift operation with an input throughput of up to 4 t / h.

The system is loaded manually. The further technological processing steps take place in an automatic sequence up to the manual bagging of the finished rubber granulate in big bags.

The main technological processing steps are:

Shredding the entire tire
Cleaning the rubber (separation of steel, fabric, foreign matter)
Cryogenic fine grinding
Classification of the rubber granulate into the individual fractions

The shredding is done mechanically in three stages by different shredders. After each shredding step, the steel that is released is separated by magnetic separators and the tissue by heavy material inspection. Fine grinding is carried out by cooling the rubber using liquid nitrogen and then breaking up the embrittled material. The classification into the individual fractions is carried out by four vibrating sieves.

Different processing machines are used in this process, which are linked together by transport units.

The following machines are used in the processing process:

Shredding: twin-shaft shredder, single-shaft shredder, granulators, pin mill
Screening: circular vibrating screens in different configurations
Cleaning: magnetic separator, wind sifter, hybrid sifter, cone sifter, dry filter, wet filter, separation tables
Transport: conveyor belts, elevators, screw conveyors, pneumatic conveying,
Spiral conveyors, screw conveyors, cellular wheel locks
