staff-eye beim Automotive Forum Zwickau 2025

Under the motto **“Shaping the Future Together,”** the Automotive Forum Zwickau 2025 demonstrated how strong Saxony can be when research, industry, and politics work hand in hand.

Innovation aus Sachsen– Kooperation, Kreativität und Technologie

For staff-eye, participation was far more than just a trade fair appearance – it was a symbol of genuine cooperation, innovation, and creativity “Made in Chemnitz.”
Together with the Chemnitz Automated Driving Alliance (CADA) and FDTech, we presented the RoboShop – an autonomous, mobile experience platform that demonstrates how technology, design, and culture merge in the mobility of the future.

The RoboShop is based on the modular vehicle platform from PIX Moving and exemplifies our vision: Urban Mobility as a Complete Experience.

It is more than just a vehicle – it is a space for connection, learning, and inspiration. Today, it can serve as a café or information point; tomorrow, as a pop-up store, stage, or mobile lab.

With the RoboShop, we want to show that autonomous systems can be not only efficient but also aesthetic, cultural, and socially relevant. It is a symbol of how mobility can become an experience space and how technology can enable new forms of social interaction.

staff-eye: Software, Simulation, and Creativity

staff-eye is a technology-oriented software and systems company based in Chemnitz. We develop customized software solutions for various industries – including healthcare, logistics, wind energy, and renewable resources.

In addition to traditional software development, we are deeply involved in projects focused on autonomous and urban mobility. We believe that mobility in the future will be more than just transport – it will become an integral part of our everyday living environment.

That’s why we combine software, simulation, and real-world application to create the foundation for intelligent, adaptive systems. As a member of CADA, we collaborate with partners such as PIX Moving, FDTech, and the Autoware Foundation to make Saxony a model region for autonomous mobility.

Saxony demonstrates innovative spirit

Minister President Michael Kretschmer speaks at the Automotive Forum Zwickau 2025 in front of a yellow autonomous vehicle by staff-eye, while the audience listens attentively. Large screens display his name and the venue, Volkswagen Bildungsinstitut GmbH.<br>

A special moment of the forum: the RoboShop served as the stage backdrop for Minister President Michael Kretschmer and Volkswagen Saxony Managing Director Prof. Thomas Edig – a strong symbol of our region’s innovative spirit.

Speakers such as Michael Kretschmer, Prof. Thomas Edig (Volkswagen Saxony), Prof. Dr. Holger Naduschewski (Volkswagen Educational Institute VWBI), and Zwickau’s Mayor Constance Arndt emphasized that technological innovation and social responsibility go hand in hand. The program was complemented by inspiring insights from Eva Baumeister (Vodafone), who shared perspectives on digitalization and automated driving.

A heartfelt congratulations to Dr. Jens Trepte (imk Health Intelligence) on receiving the August Horch Honorary Award – a well-deserved recognition of innovation and dedication. And a big thank-you to the AMZ – Saxony Automotive Supplier Network for their excellent organization.

Conclusion

With the RoboShop, staff-eye has shown that Saxony doesn’t just develop innovation – it makes it tangible. We combine software, simulation, and creativity to create new pathways for mobility that inspire, connect, and bring people together.

The future emerges where technology and humanity meet – from Saxony. For Europe.
